Jonathan Fassberg | Partner

Jonathan is co-founder and Managing Partner at astr partners, an exclusive network purpose-built to support life science investors and their priority portfolio companies.

He was Vice Chairman of Healthcare Investment Banking at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.

For 22 years, he was the CEO of Trout Group, a leading investor relations firm in the life sciences industry. Mr. Fassberg has provided investor relations and strategic advisory services to hundreds of public and private life sciences companies.

He founded Trout Capital LLC, in 2004 to service clients in a financial advisory role. In this capacity, Mr. Fassberg raised more than $1 billion in capital market offerings.

Jonathan was a healthcare equity research analyst. Before his career on Wall Street, he spent four years at DuPont Pharma in various sales and marketing positions.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He also holds Series 7, 24, 79, and 63 securities licenses.

Jonathan has been an active member of Young Presidents Organization since joining the Manhattan Chapter in 2007 and is currently serving as Chapter Chair. He also sits on the board of directors for the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies at UNC.
